Summer weeds can rob subsequent crops of soil nitrogen and stored soil water. Summer weeds can also delay seeding time for winter crops through reducing stored soil water forcing growers to wait till sufficient autumn rain has fallen. They can also reduce crop emergence by causing physical and/or chemical interference at seeding time.
This half-day workshop is supported by L.I.F.T. and is designed to give growers the knowledge and skills to correctly identify summer weeds early and select the best herbicides and non-herbicide techniques to manage them while preparing for the 2019 cropping season.
